Free and open source software
Software tools
Mediana has been actively involved in the development of free and open source software tools for biopharmaceutical applications:
- Mediana package: R package for general simulation-based power/sample size calculations. The latest versions of this package are available on CRAN and Github.
- Mediana Designer: Free Windows-based software tool for traditional and simulation-based power/sample size calculations in fixed-sample and group-sequential trials.
- MCPModPack: R package for designing and analyzing dose-finding clinical trials. The latest versions of this package are available on CRAN and Github.
- MedianaDesigner: R package that supports efficient simulation-based power and sample size calculations for a broad class of late-stage clinical trials. The latest development version of this package is available on Github.
These R- and Windows-based software tools take advantage of recent advances in clinical trial simulations and have been used by numerous trial sponsors to develop efficient approaches to designing, conducting and analyzing trials, especially late-stage trials that utilize complex designs and analysis strategies.
